Flight services were disrupted at the Gannavaram airport on Friday morning due to foggy conditions. Air Costa flight (LB666) was scheduled to take off from Gannavaram airport at 7.15 a.m. and reach Bangalore around 8.20 a.m. But it departed at 8.30 a.m. and reached Bangalore around 9.20 a.m. Almost same is the case with the New Delhi-Vijayawada Air India flight (AI459). It reached Gannavaram airport at 8.20 a.m. but the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) did not give permission for landing due to poor visibility and directed the crew to land at RGIA. After re-fuelling at RGIA, the flight came back to Gannavaram around 10.55 a.m.. A 78-seater SpiceJet flight was also delayed for an hour due to bad weather conditions. The flight landed at Gannavaram around 10 a.m. as against its scheduled time of 9 a.m. SCR officials said Grand Trunk, Tamil Nadu, Dakshin, Kerala expresses and other trains were running beyond the schedule.
