Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu wants the budget to be drafted in such a way that it gives an impetus to the per capita income of rural households and agriculture and allied sectors.
He has suggested that the focus should be on bringing down the revenue expenditure and increasing the capital expenditure to give a boost to the economy in the long run.
Addressing a pre-budget meeting with officials of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Agriculture, Cooperation, Marketing and Animal Husbandry departments on Thursday, Mr. Ramakrishnudu said various departments were asking for additional allocations without spending the sums given to them.
