“The workforce engaged in agriculture sector in Krishna district should be diverted into manufacturing sector by adopting latest technology of pre and post harvesting methods of agriculture,” said Ramachandra Naidu, Chairman of Amara Raja Batteries. Former Agriculture minister Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao gave away the Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Excellence Award-2012 to Mr. Ramachandra Naidu here on Wednesday.
The ACCI selected him for the award for his contribution to industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh state and his social service activities. Mr. Ramachandra Naidu recollected his acquaintance with Vijayawada city. He stressed the need of optimum utilisation of natural resources and better transportation connectivity for all round development of Vijayawada in coming days. “Intellectuals, businessmen and political leaders should come together to accelerate the economic activity and industrialisation,”said Mr. Ramachandra Naidu. “Being agriculture based economy, the city had a potential for food processing units,” he said.

On his vision 2025, he opined that “With favourable demographic conditions, India would be able to provide workforce to the world.”
Former Agriculture minister Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao appealed to the Non Resident Indian youth to draw inspiration from the life of Mr. Ramanchandra Naidu who had come back from United States leaving his career as an Engineer.
“Dreaming to work abroad can be appreciated. But, young generation should also think about the significant role they can play in India for its socio, economic development’ he told the youth. ACCI president M. Murali Krishna and secretary Ch. R. K. Prasad were also present.
