The police said that in the investigation, it was found that the deceased person had made his last call to a married woman with whom he had been moving closely in the past two years. The woman's family members had warned Mohan Krishna against continuing relationship with her. As he allegedly did not heed their warning, Nagaraja Kumar and his friends hatched the plan to eliminate him, the police said.

The police said that Nagaraja Kumar runs Greenline Travels having 20 buses, all of which were not having proper registered numbers. Two of the buses were being handed over to the RTA for taking further action.
