The ongoing strike by employees of eSeva centres has been called off following successful completion of talks with the stakeholders, Krishna district Joint Collector Gaurav Uppal said here on Sunday.
He said that the employees of eSeva centres called off their strike being observed since January 25 following the agreement reached out with the agency, the union and the NGOs.
From Monday onwards, the eSeva centres will start functioning as usual in the coastal districts where services were affected due to the strike, he said.

Addressing media persons, Dr. Uppal said that the employees called off their strike after the agency promised to hike their salaries and also sanction earned leave, besides providing provident fund and the ESI facility.
The data entry operators and managers of eSeva centres participated in the strike that led to the services of various departments routed through these centres getting badly affected.
In the talks, it was agreed that the agency would hike the salaries from Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 6,500 for managers, from Rs. 3,400 to Rs. 5,070 for data entry operators and from Rs. 2,800 to Rs. 4,030 for security guards. Each employee would also be eligible for 20 earned leaves per year for which the agency had agreed.

Dr. Uppal said that the employees also demanded holiday on second Saturday on a par with State government employees, but it was agreed that the working hours on second Saturdays for eSeva employees would be effective from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., instead of up to 7 p.m. On Sundays, the centres will continue to remain open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as in vogue.
Dr. Uppal said that the designated photography locations for the purpose of issuing new ration cards would be opened in the district in the next one month. Nearly 1.35 lakh applications have been received in the Rachabanda programme.
Of the 20,000 complaints received about errors in current ration cards, half of them have been solved and the remaining will be sorted out in the next one month.
