Young Dileep Teja, a Tollywood child artist, is just fourteen-summers-old and he is already struck by the Friday blues. His film Daana Veera Sura Karna – a children’s feature film, is all set hit the silver screen this month and he is keeping his fingers crossed.

A student of KKR Gowtham Public School, Dileep is playing the lead role of Karna in the film and he is confident the film will give the all-important recognition.

“This film is directed by Jagapathi Venkateswara Rao and was shot at Hyderabad. I made myself fit for the role by learning swimming at Aqua Devils Welfare Association. Swimming helped me shed flab. I am also learning horse riding, fighting and dance to meet the future challenges,” says the budding actor from the sidelines of the closing ceremony of association’s annual swimming camp. The little lad enthralled everyone at the ADWA premises by delivering a lengthy dialogue from the film.

With offers coming from the neighbouring Tamil Nadu, Dileep is also keen on learning Tamil.

A profile posted in the social media drew the attention of a film promoter thus helping Teja to enter the world of arc lights through television serials.

“I made my TV debut in ‘High School’ in Gemini TV and later I acted in ‘Kushi’ (MAA) and ‘Abhishekam’ in ETV produced by the legendary Dasari Narayana Rao,” says the teenager.

Dileep made foray into feature films by acting in ‘Rai Rai’, ‘Eerojullo’, which was directed by Sudheer Raja. “I acted in ‘Kanna’, which had Anand-fame Raja as hero both in Telugu and Tamil versions.”

He also featured in an advertisement of Naj Jewellers with popular playback singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam in the lead.

Incidentally Dileep’s kid sister, Kusuma, is also an emerging child artist and she has acted in director Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali’ with hero Prabhas.
