The Congress has opposed the State government to earmark 400 acres of land for the development of an international school and other spiritually-oriented institutions in association with Isha Foundation.
Addressing a press conference at the Andhraratna Bhavan here on Friday former MLA Malladi Vishnu asked how the State government could “give away” prime land that was quite close to the new capital to Isha Foundation. Mulapadu was also well connected to the National Highway and the value of the land would increase manifold, once the Outer Ring Road (ORR) was completed, he said.
Though Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was in China, he was continuously in touch with the officials of the district to ensure that Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was extended all the courtesies at the airport and at other places, Mr Vishnu alleged.

Mr Vishnu said that the TDP was at the drop of a hat alleging that public land was given away to influential persons during the Congress regime, but then why was it doing the same.
The forest land should be distributed to landless poor, if it had to be given away, he said.
