Top administrators of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Thursday gave the latest perspective on the rapidly evolving profession, and how students should brace for challenges ahead.
According to them, that one should make the best use of articleship training for laying a strong foundation for one’s career.
“Chartered accountants have excellent opportunities not only in India but abroad, and you should not squander that. Keep yourself abreast of the developments around you and be experts in your subjects to become successful professionals,” ICAI vice-president M. Devaraja Reddy said. He was inaugurating the two-day National Convention of CA Students, ‘Jayabheri’, that began here on Thursday.

Mr. Reddy said students had to learn the nuances of practice of chartered accountancy and regularly follow the institute’s publications for achieving the best results. At the same time, communication skills ought to be given due priority.
‘Maha Sahasravadhani’ Garikapati Narasimha Rao delivered a captivating lecture on how students could achieve success in their endeavours.
ICAI Southern India Regional Council secretary E. Phalguna Kumar, Southern India Chartered Accountant Students Association chairman Adusumilli Venkateswara Rao and SIRC Vijayawada branch office-bearers, led by chairman Agnihotram Srinivas, were among those who were present.
