Bhavani Island abuzz with activity

Following the onset of the auspicious Karthika Masam, the Bhavani Island witnessed a large number of visitors on Sunday, the first holiday in the season. A large number of families thronged the Island to celebrate vanabhojanalu, the important part of the season. Country swings, adventure sports like the spider web and other paraphernalia on the Island turned special attractions besides the experience of vanabhojanalu. Meanwhile, the AP Tourism Corporation is offering various packages for the visitors. They include a trip from Berm Park to the Bhavani Island along with lunch at ₹250 per adult and ₹200 per child. Also, special vegetarian buffet and more are offered for the special package of ₹350 per adult and ₹300 per child, and more. Visitors also enjoyed the water sports and adventure activities provided by the department and private firms. The officials are expecting more rush in the coming holidays as the season has just begun.
