A special cover commemorating the contributions of eminent poet Gurram Jashuva and Burra Katha proponent Shaik Nazar, both of them from Guntur district, was released by Post Master General (Vijayawada) M. Sampath at the inaugural function of Stamps and Coins Fest organised by the Guntur Numismatic and Philatelic Society.

The special cover was brought out by the Postal Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sampath said stamp collection had helped in writing history. “The Postal Department has brought out around 2,700 stamps, and each stamp tells a story,” he added.
