Regularisation of land: deadline to end on Dec. 31

The last date for receiving applications from below the poverty line families for regularisation of encroached lands under GO 1348 and GO 166, so as to obtain house site pattas is December 31.

Vijayawada urban tahsildar Ch. Ramesh Babu in a press release on Monday said that those who were eligible to get their lands regularised could obtain in person an application form the Vijayawada urban tahsildar's office in Gandhinagar on payment of Rs. 2 and after signing in the application register.

The persons who have been dwelling on the land of an extent of not more than 80 square yards before the cut off date of December 31, 2003 were only eligible to apply for regularisation under provision of the two GOs.

The applicants should submit with the application form copies of white ration card issued prior to 2006, municipal property tax receipts for the land to be regularised, electricity, water or telephone bills. Mr. Ramesh Babu urged the applicants to approach him or the deputy tahsildar (or supervisor) to clear any doubts they had about submitting applications during office hours. He said applications procured from outside the tahsildhar's office would not be accepted.
