The elected representatives of Krishna district were the first to announce their resignation to protest against the Central government’s proposal to divide the State into two, but the movement for ‘Samaikyandhra’ (an integrated state) has turned lukewarm now.

The relay fast turned out to be eyewash with the party workers who posed for lensmen in the morning wound up a little after lunch time. City Congress working president Meesala Rajeswara Rao started the relay fasts on the first two-days with his presence and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu is scheduled to inaugurate the relay fast on the third day on Thursday.
