: Representatives of as many as 173 minority educational institutions from across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana took part in a day-long convention in the city on Thursday and came up with resolutions against the new Draft National Education Policy 2016.
Emerging out of the discussion, as many as 235 representatives stressed the need for the Ministry of Human Resource and Development to re-consider several key changes to the education system mentioned in the new policy.

Inclusion of minorities and more educationalists while drafting the programme of action, mentioning of contribution of minority missionaries for the growth of education in India, adding of names of minority educationists along side national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, protection of right of education to weaker sections are among the resolutions made by the representatives.
