Kavad Yatra on Sunday

Members of Shiva Bhakta Madal, Guru Nanak Colony, will be conducting the ‘Maha Kavad Yatra’ in the early hours of Sunday.

As part of the Yatra, an annual ritual of the Marwari community, devotees of Lord Shiva will fetch water from Krishna River at Durga Ghat and reach Guru Nanak Colony on foot via Police Control Room, Eluru Road and Benz Circle.

Shiv Bhakth Mandal spokesperson Gopal Sharma said the procession would start at 5.30 a.m. from One Town and participants would be given Kavad uniform at the ghat.
