Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu honoured two of his school teachers during the Teacher’s Day celebrations. The teachers-- Peddireddy Lakshmana Reddy and P. Munikrishna Reddy-- had taught Social Studies and Science to Mr. Naidu, at the ZP High School at Chandragiri. Both had come to Guntur on an official invitation to take part in the celebrations.

Mr. Naidu felicitated them with shawls, a cash gift of Rs.1 lakh each, while the teachers who were well past their 70s recalled Mr. Naidu as a bright student. “ Mr. Naidu, the tall and handsome boy, had shown leadership qualities even while he was a student, developing ‘a remote school’ and laying roads, by mobilising funds in villages. It was these qualities which had made him MLA at an young age and had even NTR take a liking to him ,’’ said Mr. Lakshmana Reddy.
