The Krishna district administration has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the SSC public exams beginning Monday.
A total number of 62,372 students will write their test in the 286 examination centres set up across the district. Of them, 49,663 are regular candidates while 12,709 of them are appearing privately. Of the 286 exam centres, 220 are meant for regular students while the remaining 66 are for private candidates. These centres have been categorised into ‘A', ‘B' and ‘C' groups. For effective functioning of a fool-proof network put in place, as many as 286 chief superintendents have been appointed to monitor arrangements besides an additional 286 departmental officers and 25 routes have been identified for distribution of question papers.
In addition to appointment of 3,326 invigilators, 14 flying squads and 34 sitting squads have been constituted to maintain constant vigil at the examination centres. Similarly, 286 centre-level supervisors have been appointed for bar-coding and 58 police stations and two sub-treasuries have been identified as storage points. The District Revenue Officer, Machilipatnam, conducted a series of meetings with officials of all the allied departments to issue instructions for smooth conduct of the exams. Besides orders to clamp Section 144 at each examination centre, the local APSRTC authorities have been asked to provide bus facility to all the centres coinciding with the exam timings. The camp staff, chief examiners and assistant examiners for SSC spot valuation will be appointed on March 27.

Students are advised to reach their respective examination centres by 8.45 a.m. and occupy their seats by 9 a.m.
