An unprecedented number of 16 companies of Central and paramilitary forces would be deployed for the scheduled general elections-2014 on May 7 in Krishna district rural to monitor the polling in 12 Assembly constituencies.
In addition to armed forces, a total of 400 police from Tamil Nadu would also join the polling here in Krishna district, said Krishna District Superintendent of Police J. Prabhakara Rao. The paramilitary forces include personnel of the BSF. Seven platoons of the Andhra Pradesh Special Police have already geared up for the polls.
