Members owing allegiance to the Tamil Nadu Government Village Health Nurses Welfare Association staged a demonstration near the Collectorate on Monday.

They said that new proposal would reduce the chances of nursing diploma holders to become nurses in Health Centres. More over, there was no need for posting UG and PG degree holders in health sub centres.

Starting nursing training schools in all districts and clearing anomalies in the 7th Pay Commission recommendation for nurses were among the demands.
