The Hindu In School chess competition this Saturday

The Hindu In School chess competition 2019 will be held at the E. R. Higher Secondary School in Tiruchi on October 5.

The competition will be held in three categories – under-10, under-13 and under-15. Only players registered with the Tamil Nadu Chess Association can participate. Participants will have to pay a fee of ₹150 each. Interested players can register their names online at www.thehindu.com /thischess

Spot registrations will also be allowed at the venue. Registrations will open at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday. Participants who have registered online should bring a print out of the confirmatory email received from

The tournament will be played on Swiss League basis under latest FIDE Rapid Rules. Players have to bring their own chess sets and chess clocks. All participants will receive participation certificates and 10 toppers will receive awards along with merit certificates
