Tangedco asks consumers to register mobile numbers in Tiruchi

All consumers have been requested to register their power connection service numbers, distribution and mobile phone numbers at the registers kept at the section offices of the Tangedco.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has requested power consumers in the East division of the Tiruchi Metro Circle to register their mobile phone numbers at the respective section offices of the Tangedco to enable receipt of text (SMS) messages on their power consumption.

Text messages on the bi-monthly power consumption and bills of consumers are now being sent to the mobile phone numbers of individual consumers in East Division of the Tiruchi Metro Circle such as K.K.Nagar, Sembattu, Mannarpuram, Subramaniapuram, Crawford, Somarasampettai, Manikandam, Thiruparaithurai, Tiruchi Rural, Tirurverumbur, Navalpattu, Ariyamangalam, Kattur, Kalkandarkottai and Thuvakudi.

However, the numbers of the mobile phones of some consumers were found to be incorrect, N.Damodharan, Executive Engineer (Operation and Maintenance), Tiruchi East, Tangedco, said in a press release.

Hence all consumers have been requested to register their power connection service numbers, distribution and mobile phone numbers at the registers kept at the section offices of the Tangedco.
