SSLC: Thirukattuppalli school student got state second rank

D.Lakshmanan of Sir Sivasamy Aiyer Bala Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Thirukattuppalli near Thanjavur, who has come state second in the SSLC public examinations, expressed his desire to do Aeronautical engineering.

Son of a farmer Dakshinamurthy and a native of Varahur village near Thirukattuppalli, Lakshmanan scored 498 marks out of 500 to win the coveted state second rank. “I aimed for state first, but could get state second. I owe this to the teaching and coaching given by my teachers and parents encouragement”, Lakshmanan said. “I will continue plus two in this school and want to become an Aeronautical engineer” he added.

Lakshmanan scored centum each in English, Maths and Science, and 99 each in Tamil and Social science.

T.Shanthi, Principal of the Sir Sivasamy Aiyer Bala Vidyalaya Matriculation HSS, which has completed 150 years service to society, said that Lakshmanan has been studying in the school from LKG.

It was celebration time in the school at Thirukattuppalli. Students, parents, teachers who gathered at the school on hearing the news distributed sweets and celebrated the occasion.
