Srirangam temple consecration on November 23

The second phase of ‘samprokshnam’ of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Srirangam on November 23.

According to official sources, special kaala poojai will commence from November 20 and the ‘samproskhanam’ will be performed between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on November 23.

This is the second phase of ‘samprokshanam’ when the presiding deities of Sri Ranganathaswamy, Sri Ranganayaki, Sri Garudan, Sri Chakkarathazhwar, and Sri Ramanujar will be performed. Major gopurams, including the

Vellai Gopuram and the Rajagopuram, will also be consecrated simultaneously. The first spell of “samproskhanam” was performed to the sub-shrines and vimanams on September 9.
