Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development, Law, Courts and Prisons, S. P. Velumani, reviewed the implementation of development works being taken up by his departments here on Monday.
He said a majority of works sanctioned over the past four years have been completed and instructed officials to expedite the completion of the remaining works. He reviewed the progress of development works taken up by the Tiruchi Corporation, the municipalities, the town panchayts and the Rural Development Department. He took up a detailed assessment of the works executed and the progress of others. He reviewed the works taken up with funds sanctioned from the MPs and MLAs Local Area Development funds, an official release said. T. P. Poonatchi, Minister for Khadi and Village Industries, and Collector K.S.Palanisamy attended the meeting.
