PRIST inks pact with cancer research centre

The MoU will pave way for academic exchanges in the form of short and long-term exchange of faculty, students and staff for the purposes of teaching and research

PRIST University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thanjavur Cancer Care and Research Centre (TCCRC), for carrying out a collaborative program of research, training, curriculum, institutional development, and information dissemination.

The MoU, a press release said, will pave way for academic exchanges in the form of short and long-term exchange of faculty, students and staff for the purposes of teaching and research. The MoU documents were exchanged between N.Ethirajulu, Vice Chancellor, and Arun Seshachalam, Director, TCCRC, at a recent function.

According to J.Karthikeyan, Scientist, Centre for Research and Development, PRIST University, and G.Manikandan, Administrative Officer, Nodal Officers, joint seminars, conferences, symposia, workshops and refresher courses will be conducted at State, National and International levels. Original articles by investigators of research projects funded by the partner institutions and government agencies will be contributed to peer-reviewed journals for joint publication.

Mutually beneficial academic programmes and courses will be evolved and research materials of mutual interest will be exchanged within the purview of law .
