A Passport Seva Camp will be held in Perambalur, according to S. Lingasamy, Regional Passport Officer, Tiruchi. Applicants from Perambalur and Ariyalur districts can participate in the camp.
The camp would be held at the Collector’s Office in Perambalur from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on March 14 and 15, he said in a press release.
The camp is being organised as a part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ efforts to expand the outreach of passport services to citizens at district-level by conducting special camps periodically.

The camp would be conducted based on online appointments.
About 200 appointments would be released for each day. Applicants have to log on to the web site www. passportindia.gov.in to register their applications online, generate the application registration number (ARN) and pay the fee online before attending the camp as per the appointment generated online.
Passport applications under the normal category alone would be accepted at the camp.

Tatkal and police clearance certificate applications would not be entertained. Applicants should attend the camp as per appointment with two passport size photographs in white background and the required documents in original.
Appointments for submission of applications for the camp would be released at 2.30 p.m. on March 9.
Capturing of biometric details, photographing of applicants and uploading of the documents would be carried out at the camp.
The applications would be processed and the passports despatched from the Regional Passport Office, Tiruchi, the release added.
