A day-long exhibition of antiques, coins and currencies were organised at the Government Museum in the city on Thursday to commemorate the International Museum Day.
The exhibits including antiques such as ancient wooden dolls, weights and measures, ornaments and coins of the Cholas, Cheras, Pandyas, Nayaks, British India and post-Independence periods. Currencies from various countries were also on display.
The expo was organised by a group of collectors including P. Vijayakumar, Mohamed Zubair and C. Chandrasekaran.
