There were no new cases of COVID-19 and no fatalities caused by the virus in the central region on Thursday, as per the State Health Department bulletin.
Six active cases of patients receiving treatment at home and in hospital were reported. Of this, Tiruchi had three active cases, while the districts of Karur, Mayiladuthurai and Pudukottai reported one case each.
