A young boy and girl committed suicide by jumping in front of a train between Mutharasanallur and Jeeyapuram in the Tiruchi – Karur broad gauge section on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old boy and the 17-year-old girl were relatives and were said to be in love, according to railway police sources. The bodies were found close to the track on Tuesday. The sources said that their parents preferred to get them married at a later stage as they were young. However, the two decided to end their lives. The bodies were sent to Tiruchi Government Hospital for a post mortem.
