Youthful exuberance was to the fore during the State-level inter-collegiate basketball tournament, which concluded here on Thursday.
The three-day tournament, played for the Bishop Solomon Doraisawmy Memorial Trophy, was organised by the Bishop Heber College.
The tourney, which attracted teams from different parts of the State, was conducted on a league-cum-knockout basis.

At the end of the league phase, Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science (Coimbatore), Bishop Heber College, Loyola College (Chennai), and AVC College (Mayiladuthurai) qualified for the semi-finals.
Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science defeated Bishop Heber College in the final to retain the title. AVC College got the better of Loyola College to clinch the third place.
Purushoth of Loyola College was adjudged the player of the tournament.

M. Marcus Diepen Boominathan, former principal, Bishop Heber College, gave away the prizes.
D. Paul Dhayabaran, principal, C. Sebastian Rajasekaran, vice-principal, and L.C. John, director of physical education, were present.
