Passengers of an Air India Express flight to Singapore were stranded on Sunday due to a fault in the air-conditioning system. The flight with 117 passengers on board was ready to take off when it was detected.

Following this, passengers were asked to get off the plane. Some of them were accommodated in a hotel, while a few others left for their homes and opted to travel on different dates. The aircraft later flew to Chennai and from thereon to Thiruvananthapuram to rectify the problem. Around 60 passengers were accommodated in the Monday’s Singapore-bound Air India Express flight from here.
