Efforts on to popularise ‘Hello Tiruchi Police’ number

Stickers displaying 94441 – 31100 have been pasted on all rural police vehicles

The Tiruchi Rural Police have taken steps to publicise its dedicated helpline number to enable the public easily remember it and pass on information relating to law and order, crime or any other major issues to the law enforcers.

On the direction of the Superintendent of Police, Tiruchi, stickers sporting the dedicated mobile number of ‘Hello Tiruchi Police’ 94441 – 31100 has been pasted on all police vehicles belonging to the rural police.

The ‘Hello Tiruchi Police’ number was launched in 2015 to connect with people and receive information from them on issues pertaining to law and order, crime or any other major developments warranting immediate police intervention.

The initiative was launched with a view to act swiftly on information received from the public through the dedicated helpline number and solving them. In a fresh effort to reach out to public and improve the service further, the law enforcers have now taken steps to publicise the helpline number by pasting stickers sporting this mobile number on all police vehicles.

In addition, wall posters containing the ‘Hello Tiruchi Police’ mobile number has been pasted at vantage spots where public assemble in large numbers, said a police press release.

The law enforcers have also decided to give publicity to this number by airing it on the local channels. Public could convey information round-the-clock to the ‘Hello Tiruchi Police’ number either over phone or by sending an SMS or WhatsApp.
