A drug offender was detained under the Goondas Act here on Thursday on the order of the Commissioner of Police Shailesh Kumar Yadav. A police press release here said S.Perumal (30), a resident of Kuppankulam here, was arrested in July by the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau CID on the charge of possessing and selling ganja weighing 2.1 kilograms in his auto near Gandhi Market. The auto and contraband were seized and Perumal was remanded in judicial custody.— Special Correspondent
