Leaders of allies of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in one voice said that the DMK-led front was strong to take on its opponents in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The DMK-led front has the support of minorities, dalits, backward and most backward classes, they said at the concluding day of the 10th State conference of the DMK here on Sunday.
The conference which attracted DMK party cadre from throughout the State was proof of its solid strength and support base, they said.

Puthiya Tamizhagam leader K. Krishnaswamy said there was need to feel worried over some other parties not joining the DMK-led front.
Having support of all sections of society, the DMK-led front was a mighty one which could bag all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, he said and added that there was no need to wait for others to join.
Hailing DMK chief M. Karunanidhi, Dr. Krishnasamy said only he (referring to Mr. Karunanidhi) could bring about a stable government at the Centre.

Echoing the same view, Manithaneya Makkal Katchi leader and MLA M.H. Jawahirullah said the DMK-led front was a secular formation which had the support of dalits, minorities, backward and most backward classes. The huge turnout of party cadre for the DMK State conference was proof of the wave in support of the DMK-led front for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, he said.
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader and MP Thol. Tirumavalavan said the Lok Sabha polls was a crucial one as it concerned protection of secularism and social justice. The country could face threat to social justice and secularism if Narendra Modi was to become the Prime Minister.
Claiming that the DMK-led front would bag all the 40 seats, he exhorted the cadre of alliance partners not to get bogged down by poll surveys and work steadfastly in ensuring a massive victory for the front.
Indian Union Muslim League president K.M. Khader Mohideen said the DMK-led combine was a victorious front claiming that the Tiruchi conference would turn the tide in favour of the DMK-led alliance.
