Diversion of buses for CM visit to Tiruchi

The Tiruchi City Police has announced diversions for buses in the city on October 26 in view of the visit of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to take part in the MGR centenary celebrations to be held at the G corner railway ground in Golden Rock here.

The traffic diversion has been announced to ease congestion at Mannarpuram roundabout and TVS Toll gate round about.

Tiruchi-bound buses coming from Pudukottai would come via Airport, Wireless road, K.K. Nagar, LIC colony, Mannarpuram, Aristo Roundabout and Periya Milaguparai to reach the central bus stand and take the same route in the return direction, a police press reelase said.

Buses coming from Thanjavur route will go via Palpannai, Gandhi Market, Prabhat Junction, Head Post Office, Mutherayar statue, MGR statue, Collector office road and Periya Milaguparai to reach the Central Bus Stand.

Buses from central bus stand and proceeding to Thanjavur route will go via Mutherayar statue, Head Post Office, TVS Tollgate and Thanjavur road.

Buses bound for Thanjavur route from the central bus stand after 9 a.m. would go via railway junction, Aristo Junction, Mannarpuram service road and By Pass road.

Tiruchi- bound buses from Madurai would come via Edamalaipattipudur, Crawford, Viralimalai road junction, Aristo junction and Periya Milaguparai to reach the Central Bus Stand and take the same route in the return direction.

Buses bound for Chennai and Salem routes from the central bus stand would go via Vestry school roundabout, Anna Nagar Pudhu Theru, Sastri road, K.T. Junction, Karur By Pass road, Odathurai bridge, Oyyamari road to reach the national highway.

Moffusil and town buses coming from Chennai, Perambalur, Salem and Ariyalur routes to the central bus stand at Tiruchi would come via ‘Ý’ road, Sanjeevi Nagar, Oyyamari road, Karur By Pass road, K.T. Junction, Sastri road, Anna Nagar New road, MGR statue and Vestry School Junction.

Town buses from and to Golden Rock would go via railway junction, Mannarpuram, Khajamalai junction, EVR college, Kozhipannai road and Ponmalaipatti Junction, the police press release said.
