Student wing members of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) staged a rail roko at Srirangam railway station on Tuesday demanding that Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa be declared a war criminal. The members assembled at Srirangam station and sat in front of Tiruchi–Howrah Express for some time also demanding international inquiry into the war crimes and a referendum in the northern and eastern provinces of Sri Lanka. They were led by Mohamed Anis, State secretary of MMK student wing. Functionaries of the TMMK also joined the agitation.
