Members of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Tamil Nadu, have embarked on a state-wide ‘padayatra' creating awareness among people on the need to retrieve agriculture and trade from the clutches of the foreign forces and to retrieve black money from foreign banks.

Campaigns were conducted at various places in the city and the members distributed handbills containing information regarding the objective of the awareness movement. The ‘padayatra' has been focussing on three important issues – protecting the retail trade from the danger of foreign direct investment; retrieving agriculture from the clutches of foreign forces and getting back black money from the foreign banks-said the campaign coordinator Ilankumar Sampath.

Speaking at the campaign here, S. Gurumurthy, All India co-convenor of the Manch, said the ‘padayatra' had been organised to create awareness among public on the ways foreign forces had penetrated into our economy, agriculture and trade sectors.
