Automated analyser commissioned

A fully automated analyser was inaugurated at the Dr. Muthulakshmi Memorial Government Headquarters Hospital here on Tuesday.

Sanctioned at an estimate of Rs. 45 lakh, the equipment had been installed under the health care delivery programme being launched under the Tamil Nadu Health System Project.

S. Syed Mohideen, Joint Director of Health, who inaugurated the facility at the hospital on Tuesday, said that it would ensure expeditious analysis of blood samples.

At a given time, it could handle 250 blood samples and release the results within an hour, he said.
