AIADMK workers erupt into celebrations

AIADMK cadre went ecstatic in the city celebrating the party’s victory in the Assembly elections on Thursday.

Scores of party cadre assembled in front of the Saranathan College of Engineering along the Tiruchi – Madurai national highway where the counting of votes were taken up in the morning.

As news of the party’s victory became clear, cadre turned jubilant on hearing the news of the AIADMK’s triumph not only in Tiruchi but across the State.

The teeming cadre waved party flag and hailed their leader for the huge victory the AIADMK had achieved. The cadre could not hide their emotions and danced on the highway displaying their happiness.

However, a section of the party cadre were disappointed after R. Manoharan, urban district secretary of the party, lost to K.N. Nehru of DMK. Supporters of Mr. Nehru too could not cherish his victory as the party lost the elections in the State.
