The Tiruchi Institute of Cooperative Management, functioning under the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Union, has introduced a full-time diploma programme in cooperation.

Though the institute had been offering a full-time programme earlier, it had been suspended over the past three years. Instead, a part-time in-service programme was being offered for cooperative employees.

The new 36-week diploma programme would include MS Office and Jewel Appraisal Techniques. The programme would be open to all candidates and so far about 50 candidates have joined. Admissions are still open for the programme at the institute located at the Amaravathy Cooperative Supermarket complex on the Old Good Shed Road in the city. The course fee has also been reduced to Rs.6,000.
