235 teachers receive transfer orders through counselling

Transfer orders were issued for 235 postgraduate, undergraduate, and special teachers at the end of the counselling conducted for transfers within district and for those seeking transfer to Tiruchi from other districts. The Chief Educational Officer T.Mohana Kumar issued the transfer orders.

The counselling was held in two sessions: in the forenoon for transfer seekers within the district, and in the afternoon for applicants from other districts seeking transfers to schools in Tiruchi district.

There were 217 applicants among PG teachers for transfers to 78 vacancies within the district.

Of them, 41 received the transfer orders. Of the 116 applicants from other districts to 78 vacancies in Tiruchi district, 34 were given transfer orders.

A total of 381 BT teachers applied for 82 vacancies within the district, and 64 were given the transfer orders. In the afternoon session, 34 among the 116 applicants from other districts received the transfer orders for joining duty in schools in Tiruchi district.

One hundred special teachers applied for transfers within the district in 30 vacancies, and 21 received the transfer orders.

Out of 64 applicants, 15 special teachers from other districts secured orders for transfers to schools in Tiruchi district.

On November 18, promotion counselling for BT teachers seeking PG posts will be conducted at Chennai. On the next day, about 500 Block Resource Teachers, appointed under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, are to be absorbed in regular schools as BT teachers through promotion counselling at Chennai. The process will be carried out for secondary grade teachers seeking promotion as BT teachers on November 20.
