World Space Week fete from Oct. 4

ISRO centres in the State capital will celebrate World Space Week (WSW-2019) from October 4 to 10 with a variety of programmes for school children and the general public.

The celebrations are being organised by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) and the ISRO Inertial Systems Unit (IISU) on the theme ‘The Moon: Gateway to the Stars.' Lectures and quiz and painting competitions are planned for the student community.

There will be sounding rocket launches for public and students on October 9 and 10.

Individuals/groups can witness the launches and visit the space museum on the two days.
