Vendor stabbed to death

A 50-year-old man was stabbed to death during a brawl in a busy market place at TB Junction, near Neyyattinkara here, on Friday.

According to the police, Sulaiman, 50, a resident of Amaravila and a fish vendor by profession, was stabbed by one Nizar, after an argument between the two around 6 p.m. Though Sulaiman was rushed to a nearby private hospital, he was declared brought dead. Nizar, alias Chemban Nizar, who fled the spot immediately, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday.

He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody, the Neyyattinkara police said.
