Takeaway kiosk at Mascot Hotel

A Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) takeaway kiosk has been opened at Mascot Hotel. The kiosk was opened by KTDC chairman Vijayan Thomas on Monday.

The kiosk has been so located that passers-by can buy various eats from there easily. Arrangements have also been made for people to sit and eat on the hotel premises.

The kiosk aims at making available bakery products made without using any adulterants such as colours. The kiosk will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The eats available include puffs, doughnuts, cookies, sandwiches, pastries, cakes, buns, muffins, croissants, and breads, besides juice, tea, and coffee.

Onasadya

Hotel Samudra, a KTDC unit at Kovalam, will organise Onasadya on Thursday from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The feast is available on advance booking for a minimum order of 20 people. On Friday, Thiruvonam day, Thiruvonasadya with Pulikkali and Chendamelam will be organised from 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m. A discount of 10 per cent will be offered on bookings up to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

‘Onasadya’ will also be organised at the Swati Restaurant of the Mascot Hotel on the Thiruvonam day from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. A sumptuous meal, accompanied by four varieties of ‘payasams,’ will be served.

Those reserving seats in advance will be provided a special discount. A ‘pookalam’ arrangement and various competitions have also been planned to enliven the occasion. For details, call: 0471-2318990, 94000 08561/62/63/64.
