A helicam footage of nearly 12,000 children of St. Mary’s HSS, Pattom, standing in a formation of the national flag during a programme held in the school in connection with World Environment Day.

The Convergence of St. Mary’s Old Students (COSMOS), the alumni group of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, has managed to capture some unusual footage for a documentary on the school that they are in the process of making.

75th anniversary

The documentary is being produced to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the institution. On June 5, World Environment Day, over 12,000 students of the school assembled in its grounds wearing bandanas in saffron, white, and green shades.

Flag formation

Director Suno Varghese, with the support of Rosshan Andrrews and Deepan (all former students of the school), sent a helicam 600 feet up in the air to capture aerial shots of the students standing in a formation of the national flag. The documentary is called ‘Arivinte Uravidam.’ A promotional clip of the upcoming documentary was screened during the inaugural ceremony of the year-long platinum jubilee celebrations held in January.
