Probe sought into seer’s death

October 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The All India Hindu Mahasabha has demanded a probe into the death of Swami Saswatikananda to uncover the alleged conspiracy behind the issue.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mahasabha State president R. Vijayakumar and general secretary Anil Venniyoor said that Communist Party of India (Marxist) veteran leader V.S. Achuthanandan had demanded a probe into the incident in 2006 during his previous tenure as the Leader of the Opposition. “However, he failed to bring to light the truth in the incident during his tenure as Chief Minister,” they said.

They added that the organisation would work for the victory of the SNDP Yogam-led third front in the upcoming local body polls in the State.
