Poor handling of probe: SI suspended

The case involved Bilgin Thomas, son of Thomas George, special private secretary to Chief Whip P.C. George, as the prime accused.

K.J. Babu, an SI with the Museum police station, was suspended on Saturday for not handling the probe into a road rage case properly.

The case involved Bilgin Thomas, son of Thomas George, special private secretary to Chief Whip P.C. George, as the prime accused. He allegedly assaulted Sandesh G. Nair and abused the latter’s wife and child after a tiff on the road at Vazhuthacaud this week. The internal probe reportedly indicted the SI for not following mandatory norms.
