Long queues in front of ticket counters at cinemas are becoming a less common sight these days as more and more people are preferring online ticket booking. Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) is embracing this change with a new and better website for online reservation. The facility has been introduced in Kalabhavan theatre, Vazhuthacaud, on an experimental basis from Wednesday.
This will be extended to other theatres of the corporation in the future. Another advantage of the facility is that there will be no service charge for booking tickets online. The fare for an online ticket will be the same as a ticket reserved over the counter, a KSFDC official said. The payment gateway will have a fee through.
