New office for AICTE

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy laid the foundation stone for the Kerala-Lakshadweep regional office of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, (CET) campus here on Tuesday.

The office, work on which is scheduled to be completed in six months, will be built on a 50-cent plot. The project is being implemented at an outlay of Rs. 6.5 crore.

Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor chaired the meeting. State Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb was the chief guest.
