Meeting on Chala plant

The civic authorities requested the government to bear 50 per cent expense of the 62 biogas plants to be set up in the city.

The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) will be the nodal agency for the implementation of the solid waste treatment facility at Chala. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Tuesday. Minister for Urban Affairs Manjalamkuzhi Ali and City Corporation officials attended the meeting.
