Schools following the ICSE syllabus in the capital city have returned a creditable performance in the ISC (class XII) examinations the results of which were declared by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations on Saturday.
According to the council website, >www.cisce.org , the southern region has the highest pass percentage: 98.32. The national pass percentage is 95.26.
From 871 schools in India and abroad, 68,723 students had taken the ISC examinations in 2014.

At St. Thomas Residential School, 118 of the 123 students who appeared for the science stream secured distinction, while the rest got a first class.
Daisy Monica Roy and Niranjana Prasanna Kumar emerged school toppers with 98.25 per cent marks. Ashok Suresh Das with 98 per cent marks came second and Abishek S. Nair with 97.75 per cent marks, third.
A press note issued here by the school said 13 students secured 100 per cent marks in Mathematics and Computer Science and one, in Biology.

In the Commerce stream, 13 of the 19 students who wrote the examination, got distinction and five, first class. Pooja Padmakumar with 96 per cent emerged the school topper and S.L. Parvathy with 93.25 per cent came second. The third slot went to S. Nandita who scored 92 per cent.
At Christ Nagar ICSE school, 76 of the 87 candidates who wrote the examinations in the science stream secured distinction and 11, first class. M.V. Gayathri was the school topper with 98 per cent marks.
At Loyola School, 41 of the 47 candidates who appeared for the examinations secured distinction and six, first class. Aby Kuruvila with 482 marks emerged the school topper and G. Nandagopal with 478 marks, the second.
All the 107 students who appeared for the examinations from Holy Angels ISCE school, passed the examinations. A. Sandra who scored 98 per cent emerged the school topper.
